One nice bike,......and red too,.....but would like the naked front fender fitted,......hah! ,.......fender!,.....you got me talking like an American here!,..... Alpal
Yep a slight bias here too... In a small way I am dissapppointed that they brought the grey/burgundy back. I was kind of hoping my 17 model would stay as a special, and slightly rare, colour combo. Guess I will just have to share it with thousands of others now. Sheesh!!
There,.....you see that?,......you can tell where he's from straight away,.....Sydneyites! They want everything their way!,.....next thing you know they'll want Indian to call their next bike release after a Sydney suburb,....like Auburn! And they want to call all red Indians their own as well! Geeez Juan,.....chill,......ok?,...... Maybe the Indian Greenacre,......they're all straight shooters there Alpal Oh Shizen! Where do you live Juan?
Take it easy mate!! All I want is for Indian to reserve my colour combo just for me, that shouldn’t be too much to ask. It’s not like I asked them to do anything tricky...like solve world peace, feed the starving or slow down climate change. Now you have given me an idea. I live in a suburb called Avalon. Legend has it that is the island where King Arthur’s sword (Excalibur) was forged. That could be a great name for an Indian model - The Indian Avalon. But don’t tell those hard arsed corporate bastards at Polaris - I want to trademark it first. Our secret huh?
Geronimo spent years imprisoned at Fort Pickens on the western tip of Santa Rosa Island (Pensacola, FL). How about the Indian Pickens? Or a model with a 7-gallon gas tank -- the Indian Mound. Ladies's pink version: Indian Anna I need more coffee . . . .
Maybe you would like them to change the colors around a bit, I get it. But, it might be easier to change the sunglasses on ones face to a different polarized lenses. I know that I did this to my own welding helmet lens, going from the standard green lens to a gold lens. Heck, they even make one to see the weld in a rose colored way.
Mr. DC Grizz! Saw your post and pic. Nice ride! I own the same! I recently installed the sissy bar and luggage rack like you have. Indian claims the load weight is only 7lbs. Have you carried more weight on yours? Thanks!
Yep I LOVE this colour (correct spelling - eh @Alpal) combo I have had about 20kgs on my rack for 100s of kms - with no known issues. The 7kg thing is a crock of crap I reckon. A stupid weight limit to protect themselves.
Juan! That’s great! I love the color of my Springfield, too! Great pic, by the way! And thanks for the input. I agree with you that 7lbs is Indian’s way of protecting themselves, but common sense tells me the rack can support much wire. It really is well constructed! Thanks for the input - and side riding!
Will you look at that!,......I was beaten to the punch!,.....Yes legal reasons,,,,,,and as for weight, I have carried home on both my bikes two by 25 KG bags of malt on both my VS800 Intruder and the Scout with no damage done. The Scout has also carried a 120kg fellow worker around the yard at work,.....He was sitting on the pack rack hanging onto my back rest,.......not wise but nothing broke,.......the things you do,....... Alpal
Ahh, well, thank you, my friend! That is good to know. Except for the part about the guy sitting on the rack on your Scout. Ha! Not good! But good to know it support the weight. Thanks for the input! Ride safely! And no people on luggage racks!
I do recall the water at work that Friday afternoon being a little,.........brown? ,.....in colour?,.........ooops!,.......don't normally do that,........
