Hi all, Managed to do my first mod on the weekend, what a difference in sound, look and performance. It took 20 minutes plus a trip to the motor parts store for pack of 8mm lock nuts. Here is a comparison between the stock and RCX 3" slash cut slip ons. Happy to answer any questions anyone might have if considering this mod. Cheers Sam
Contest?,.....was there a contest between the two?,.......naaaa,....oh, and by the way Sammy,....number plate backing plate required I think,.......I'm sure I saw your number plate flex or wobble when you revved that bad arse machine,...... Alpal ( awesome by the way,......)
Definitely a good sounding Exhaust although was happy with my Bassani 2:1's as well .. Mine were in Black the video is chrome , Often wish had done a Sound Video of mine ..
Those Bassanis do sound good but I prefer my stage 1's. Twice again today, the young girl working at the servo and an old man up at the shops both said how great my bike sounded. Life is good,.......clicked over 11,000 miles today and, just like my first Scout, and I believe you mentioned this years ago too @JayFL459, it feels like it has loosened up a bit more because it just feels so damn nippy as of late. If I recall you said if gets better around 30,000 too,.....
@Alpal your right, I need a solution to the number plate surround before it comes off. Doesn't fit properly due to the reflector on the plate bracket. Will have a look today, also removing the relectors on the forks I think. @JayFL459 those Bassani sound and look great. I think most the exhaust options available are exceptionally better than the stock pea shooters. The bike I demoed had a nice set of Bassani slash cuts which Were practically same as my RCX. Cheers
Can you not make a back the same size as your number plate out of aluminium plate? That's all I did,......
I put the RCX 3" slash cut slip ons last friday. Its sounds great! Took longer than 20min. Didn't have a 13mm wrench and the top pipe was a PIA to get on. But well worth the money! Its louder just sitting and warming up, once you get on the road it sounds amazing.
