I just got a notification that the dealership in North Canton Ohio will have their first FTR delivery on display this weekend. This bike is, of course, already sold. They said more will be arriving soon.
It sounds like the long wait is nearing the end.
I might ride over and drool a little.

Think they better keep that one Hid .. When the First Scouts arrived at Ocala (4) They had one on the showroom just for display with Big Signs " Do Not Touch or Sit " and some jackasses did anyway, and they had to move it back to the Garage Bay Area ..

If it were my new bike, I'd want it off the floor as soon as possible. Maybe they have an agreement with the new owner to allow it to be fondled for a few days.

207448EA-51EE-468D-9F7F-0956DC30F0C1.jpeg Wow! That’s all I’m saying. If you have one on order it was worth the wait. Indian nailed it.

Ha. The clutch is like a feather on this bike. More power than I expected. Sits like my ZRX1100 but quicker. Very well made. Oh the tag mount looks better in person. Indian hit a home run with this bike. It surpassed my expectations.

Rode down to Myrtle Beach Spring Bike Week and stopped by Indian in Murrells Inlet to do a demo ride.

It rides like "standard" naked sportbike to me...fairly light, turns in easy...brakes were pretty dang good...motor was strong and pulled strong through some high revs. Gears were very nice. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the exhaust note...I couldn't hear it very well...and my bike was equipped with an Akrapovic exhaust.

I've ridden the Triumph Scrambler pretty often and that is what this bike reminds me of in terms of handling and power delivery. It is slightly shorter than the Triumph. I was able to flatfoot at a stop. On the Triumph I was on the ball of one foot. Oddly, the Triumph had a much nicer exhaust note on a stock platform.

I think this bike would require a longer ride duration on a curvy road to really appreciate the differences. I would buy one in a heart beat...and I may.

Thank you but it’s not mine. The shop that I was working at let me take it for a spin. But I am working out the numbers to see if I might pick it up.

Thanks all for the pictures, opinions and words.

Looks like a lot of fun.

The anticipation is finally over. I do want to see one in person before I judge too much.

I don't think I can pull off owning one, but you never know.

When I dropped off my bike at the shop yesterday I ask the owner (great guy!) where are your FTR's?
He said everytime he gets one they're sold same day. He post on his website he has one and someone walks in and buys it. He said he's having trouble getting more than one at a time. Sounds like a hot commodity.

Local dealer had one in the showroom 06/01 when I picked up my bike from service.
Bad ass looking bike. Sits pretty tall. Polaris hit a home run!

Rode one at MB Bike Week. It is similar to a Triumph Scrambler 1200 in ride...at least to me. But yes, taller than the other Indians.

I was surprised with how relatively quiet it was.
